Why was Shri Hanuman present on the Flag of Pandavas during Mahabharat?

Once Hanuman Ji met Bhima in the forest & because both (Shri Hanuman Ji & Bhima were born with the blessings of Pavandev), recognized him as spritiual brothers.  To test, Shri Hanuman Ji sat in the way of Bhima & on his request did not give him way. Bhima got angry & challenged Shri Hanuman Ji to either leave the way or will have to fight with him. Shri Hanuman Ji said, if you (Bhima) wants to go can simply pick my tail , remove it from the passage & go. When Bhima tried, could not pick up the tail & realized the peresence of some super natural power & respectfully bowed in front of Shri Hanuman Ji & requested to give him the real introduction. Shri Hanuman ji got happy & promised to help Pandavs in the Mahabharata and positioned himself on the flag of Arjun’s Chariot, protecting the Arjun.

Hanuman Ji’s flag signifies control of mind that gives victory.
